Composer, saxophonist, arranger, educator, nomad. This is my official voice/face to the world through which I share the music that I love with you all.
If you're so inclined, you can also find me on facebook.
This is what I'm up to these days:
Living between Singapore and Kuala Lumpur (on a weekly shuttle!). Teaching at Lasalle College Of The Arts, and also running my own jazz workshop program in both cities. A few semi regular gigs at Blu Jaz and some other great venues in both cities.
Working towards another recording in the not-too-distant-future. More to come on that soon...
I am very happy and proud to be able to announce my official endorsement of Jody Jazz mouthpieces. I join a roster of very special saxophonists including my teacher and guiding light, the great George Garzone. This is no token gesture. These are mouthpieces I use and love. The endorsement is genuine.
This is a 10-piece outlet for my writing featuring some fierce improvisation from some of the best in the region. We perform the first Monday of every other month at Blu Jaz Cafe in Singapore. Check the Schedule for details.
The jazz workshop course which I run in both Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. It's a ground-breaking mentorship program, which is enforcing a crucial creative element in the local scene, and is producing some real stars.
The musical forum for some of the most rapid development in Southeast Asia's young jazz scene, it has already helped nurture some significant young exponents.
