Our chances of discovering all the wonderful music in the world are pretty small. The internet has increased those chances a zillion fold but we still need to be actively searching things out to stand a chance of discovering anything inspirational. Myspace has helped a lot, with instant access to any artist regardless of genre or big industry backing.
Here I try to link you to some of the people that I have discovered in my travels - both physical and virtual - that inspire me to keep making music.
Hermeto Pascoal - My number one inspiration. Multi-instrumentalist composer and band-leader from Alagoas in the north-east of Brazil.

Egberto Gismonti - A virtuoso on both piano and guitar and a restless spirit who shifts direction regularly, constantly re-inventing himself.

Trilok Gurtu - A wonderful drummer from India and one of the few to really create an authentic and exciting Asian fusion with jazz.
